DEVELOP YOUR OWN BUTTERFLY GARDEN

Increasing urbanisation and climatic changes are threatening the population of butterflies. Use the tips give below to develop your own butterfly garden and become a butterfly conservationist.




Steps to Follow:

1. Pick a sunny spot for your garden where plants receive sunlight from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. 2. Plant native plants (nectar plants) that can provide nectar or foliage to the butterflies. 3. Grow caterpillar food plants (host plants) to attract and sustain butterflies. 4. Use organic manure only and monitor the growth of plants and butterfly attraction 5. Provide sunny spaces for butterflies.
